From where we fly to when we fly, and even what planes we fly, our Network Planning team crafts flight schedules and routes that connect you with hundreds of destinations around the world, while our Alliances team connects you with even more locations across the globe by partnering with other airlines to get you to the places that matter most. With over 4,500 direct and connecting flights across 5 continents daily, and the largest international route network of any U.S. based airline, our team designs travel experiences that our customers – and employees – love.   Working with the breadth of resources available across the airline, the Global Network Planning Operations Integrations team is responsible for creating strategies and scenarios that promote the operational and commercial success of United.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic scenarios reflecting operational and commercial initiatives encompassing infrastructure, schedule integrity, and air and ground operations support
  • Meet frequent deadlines supporting the network schedule development process
  • Interpret, conduct analysis, build slide decks, and communicate on key network operationalized schedule details to internal and external partners
  • Provide analysis and recommendations that incorporate variables supporting how our growing fleet and network are allocated and utilized in the current and future infrastructure of our hubs
  • Effectively work cross-functionally among groups with varied interests and objectives

  NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including 50% of the time spent onsite working at our Chicago office location and 50% of the time remotely.

  What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Intermediate experience with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Complex problem solving through independent critical thinking
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship

  What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Work experience in the aviation industry
  • Advanced experience with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of airline network planning and airline scheduling
