Support in the execution of all facets of a mandate
Financial modeling, mainly focusing on valuation work through comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis and other metrics as appropriate
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis and industry research
Assistance in the preparation of presentation materials for use in client meetings
Must be able to accept flexibility in required personal time commitments to complete work assignments.
Workplace : Position located Toronto. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or other related fields
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in capital markets will be strongly considered for this role
Experience in investment banking (an asset)

Desjardins’ Investment Banking Group is looking to add to its growing Toronto team. Analysts are an integral part of Desjardins’ Investment Banking Group and are expected to provide a broad range of analytical, research and presentation preparation support to professionals within the group. They are assigned to a variety of mandates such as: mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financings, strategic advisory / alternatives projects and full capital structure solution projects. A team approach to executing coverage and financing assignments is designed to provide progressive on the job training.
The role of an analyst is challenging and fast-paced. It requires dedication, passion for the industry and a very solid work ethic.
This particular Analyst will be primarily focused on one of the Mining, Power & Utilities, Diversified or Real Estate sectors, but the successful candidate can be expected to get involved in other sectors as well.General Information on the Position
