  About the Job: The Analyst, Taco Bell Control is responsible for assisting with various aspects of accounting and financial reporting for the National Advertising Fund to ensure that all financial information is prepared and reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Yum! Policies.

  Salary Range: $78,500 – $90,00 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

  Responsibilities:

  Period Responsibilities

  • Execute period-end close activities, including journal entries, financial statements, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to YUM! External Reporting.
  • Analyze marketing-related data and reserves (e.g., AR growth/decline, deferred revenue, prepaid advertising) and ensure accurate accounting through collaboration with Taco Bell Finance, Planning, and Marketing teams.
  • Review contracts and documentation to support proper accounting treatment for marketing promotions, talent agreements, and service arrangements.

  Quarterly/Annual Reporting Activities

  • Prepare and review quarterly balance sheet and income statement deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate submission to Yum! for SEC reporting.
  • Support annual audits and agreed-upon procedures by coordinating schedules, footnotes, and financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze financial activity against prior periods and years, validate compliance with GAAP and Yum policies, and review purchase obligations for contract accuracy.

  Other Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Taco Bell Marketing Finance team to set up annually the year’s budget codes and manages the weekly combo edit used to update to the AP billing system and maintain AP delegation.
  • Review, resolve and distribute the Local Fund Treasury reports to the franchisee, as well as monitor the TB Advertising email-box for franchise’s request such as local advertisement reimbursement.
  • Support projects or corporate initiatives, and compile SOX documentation

  Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. in Accounting or B.S. in Finance if candidate has accounting experience
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting, with good working knowledge of key fundamental accounting concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound business insight, strategic thinker and analytical skills.
  • Strong system capabilities (ERP and Microsoft Suite)

  Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and JDE
  • Public accounting firm or public company corporate accounting experience
  • CPA or active CPA candidate
