- Assist with data collection and management, data intake, processing, initial assessments and quality reviews of submissions received from claimants;
- Participate in the development of stakeholder communications including responding and logging claimant inquiries;
- Involved in developing and compiling monthly reporting for all aspects of class action administration status points relevant to various stakeholders, maintaining firm and client confidentiality;
- Assist with establishing, active monitoring and updating of class action website content, as well as developing detailed process flow documents required for the customization of the technology platform used to process claims and;
- Proactively handle queries from various stakeholders and parties to the settlement agreement, as well as liaise with suppliers and subcontractors;
- Project manage by tracking execution of deliverables across all the work streams;
- Work with leadership to evaluate and audit project’s progress and help identify gaps;
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate meetings as necessary;
- Keep team leaders accountable on their stream’s deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience with large documentation-review, with excellent attention to detail;
- Accounting, financial modeling, and / or analytical skills;
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel;
- Good project management, business judgment and decision-making skills;
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, sometimes for extended periods of time;
- Ability to multi-task and manage several on-going projects at the same time;
- Flexible team player with strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to quality;
- Self-motivated, hardworking and detail-oriented; and
- An undergraduate degree in business or similar field.
- CPA designation preferred.

Financial Advisory is hiring an analyst or senior associate to help its Class Action Administration practice, part of the Grant & Loan Portfolio Services team, to evaluate and deliver on some of the largest class actions in Canadian history. You will be joining a diverse team of people dedicated to Reconciliation, as part of Deloitte’s Reconciliation Action Plan. It’s not just work for us. Working collaboratively with the Class Action Administration team, you will be responsible for supporting the administration of class action claim settlements.

About the team
Class Action Administration is a growing practice of Financial Advisory practitioners that specializes in the administration of class action settlements for small, medium, and large-scale class actions in matters pertaining to both the private and public sectors. We are engaged to act as class action administrator of court-appointed settlement proceeds as well as claims administrator for government disbursement programs. We have managed and disbursed billions of dollars in compensation on dozens of class actions over the past 20 years. Our public website hosts all our active class actions.
The practice has developed technology solutions that provide class action claims processing, management, and administration services, tailored to each class action as well as the relevant needs of stakeholders. Our team offers guidance to litigators, corporate counsel and the judiciary by providing multidisciplinary expertise through every stage of the class action lifecycle, from the earliest identification of a potential lawsuit through to court judgment and the administration of the negotiated settlement.

Total Rewards
The salary range for the Analyst position is $46,000 - $86,000 and $58,000 - $106,000 for the Senior Associate position, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
