Supporting the implementation of Data & Analytics projects and initiatives
Creating reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL
Creating re-usable curated datasets using SQL
Work with Data & Analytics team to drive data literacy across BCI
Has a keen interest in data & technology and is a self-starter
Demonstrates they are a team player, but can also work independently
Demonstrates an extremely strong work ethic and displays initiative to strive to deliver value above and beyond the job description
Comes up with creative ideas to improve the business reporting process
Experience with Power BI and SQL

Competitive pay: Mid / Back Office: $2,260.00 gross bi-weekly or $2,090.00 gross bi-weekly + vacation leave paid based on 6% of salary ($2,260.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) a graduate degree or joining the Investment Strategy & Risk department and $2,090.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) an undergraduate degree, diploma, or certificate)

Office Location: 750 Pandora Avenue, Victoria, BC
Spend your off hours exploring beautiful Victoria
Travel: if coming to Victoria for this work term, BCI will provide a fixed-rate travel allowance based on your location
This co-op/internship will need to be completed in person at our Victoria office with the option to work one day per week from home. Please note, some positions are not eligible for hybrid work.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The Corporate Data & Operations department delivers centralized, corporate business services that require partnership and integration across BCI departments. This role will work in the Data & Analytics team, which delivers analytics solutions (e.g. reports and dashboards), curated re-usable datasets, data science, data platforms, and data governance. The Operations team on Data & Analytics is critical to BCI's day-to-day operations in supporting a variety of departments with their data and analytics needs. The team works with stakeholders from departments such as Finance, Investment Operations, and Corporate Risk and Audit, leading to a constantly evolving and diverse list of projects.
