Analytics plays a role in a variety of departments at L. L.Bean . We have summer internship opportunities in Supply Chain, Marketing, Internal Audit, Engineering, and a variety of other departments.

Example projects and responsibilities include:

• Delivering ad hoc analytics requests

• Predictive modeling with statistical and machine learning methods

• Developing visual analytics tools in Tableau

• Requirements gathering and synthesis

• Developing and prototyping analytics tools and methods

• Developing, cleaning, and validating data pipelines in Python and SQL

• Developing memos and PowerPoint presentations for senior marketing leaders

• Modeling and staging data in L. L.Bean’s database or on various cloud computing platforms (AWS and/or GCP)

• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in college or a university degree program

• Strong analytical, research, and demonstrated leadership skills

• Flexibility and willingness to work where needed during the internship experience

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data and presenting findings, Excel and PowerPoint

• Curiosity, grit, and growth mindset

Preferred:

• Experience with any of the following:

• Tableau

• Python

• R

• SQL

• Text analytics

• Predictive modeling

• Machine learning
