      The Cigna Group, along with its wholly owned subsidiary Evernorth, is hiring a class of full time associates for its Analytics Leadership Development Program (ALDP).

      The ALDP seeks to develop future analytics leaders for The Cigna Group and Evernorth.       Overview

      The Cigna Group's Analytics Leadership Development Program is designed for someone early in their career to further develop the analytics skills of associates throughout their program experience. The ALDP framework allows for participation in multiple rotations throughout the duration of the program. Associates are able to focus on key data and analytical competencies during the 4-5 year program. ALDP’s formalized structure is comprised of technical and non-technical skills training, networking opportunities, formal mentoring, and use of cutting edge analytical tools. Program rotations are typically 18 months in length and span all areas of The Cigna Group’s Data and Analytics organization. Possible full- time projects include but aren’t limited to:

      Data Science:

      Build predictive model to identify high-need customers for one of The Cigna Group's clinical programs.

      Use machine learning techniques to create population clusters that allow us to communicate with customers in personalized ways.

      Business Analytics:

      Analyze drivers of The Cigna Group's medical spend using statistical techniques and recommend actions we could take to mitigate cost increases.

      Measure the impact of a business initiative on The Cigna Group's customers and clients via a matched case-control study.

      Model the cost impact of changes in provider contracts on The Cigna Group's medical spend.

      Qualifications

      • Master’s degree in a quantitative field, such as data science, statistics, business analytics, mathematics, or related preferred
      • 0-3 years’ experience
      • Demonstrated coursework / real world application of analytical methods: writing code (e.g. Python, R, SAS, etc.), developing models (e.g. regression, decision tree, or other machine learning techniques), and/or evaluating outcomes using statistical techniques (e.g. matched case-control studies, A/B testing, etc.)
      • Experience in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.) and PowerPoint a plus
      • Demonstrated experience with relational databases and SQL
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills, across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
      • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
      • Strong motivation to apply quantitative reasoning to real-world business challenges
      • Strong motivation for leadership (e.g. demonstrated through extracurricular work)
      • 3.2+ GPA strongly preferred

      Additional Information:

      Locations: ALDP Associates are expected to work in-person the majority of the time (i.e., more than 50% of the time per week). Applicants should be prepared to be aligned to one of the following offices:

      Bloomfield, CT | Philadelphia, PA | Raleigh, NC

      Work Authorization: One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore, this is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

      Program Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning July 15, 2024. Working days are Monday – Friday.

      Market Range: $92,000 – $97,000 depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.


      If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
