      The Analytics Rotation Program provides the opportunity to develop in analytical functions that are critical to the Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (“CMG”) organization. This is accomplished over an approximately two-year period through a mix of rotational assignments in the Strategic Analytics and Intelligence (“SAI”) department. The rotation assignments are tailored to provide new hires with challenging and meaningful assignments, training in both technical and business skills, and coaching from the program mentors. The rotation gives recent graduates the opportunity to gain a strong analytical perspective on the core functions that are critical to the commercialization of Genentech products.

      Program Structure:

      • Associates will complete three nine-month home office assignments within SAI, each focused on applying deep analytical skills to a variety of business contexts and problems.

      • Associates will formally report to a manager in each assignment

      • Associates will be assigned a mentor for the duration of the program.

      Training and development for participants includes:

      • Formal training from each team and integrated with the Commercial Training & Development department

      • Informal learning opportunities

      • Program and networking events

      • Coaching through a mentor program

      Qualifications

      • Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or related field

      • 2+ years of consulting experience with Bachelors; 1+ year with an advanced degree

      • At least foundational coding skills (Python, Jupyter, PySpark, R, SQL, or SAS) with a passion for continuing to invest in developing these over the course of the two-year program and beyond

      • Statistical skills (regression, T-tests, p-values, clustering, experimental design)

      • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think outside the box

      • Proven track record of time management, project management, and teamwork

      • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills

      • Attention to detail

      • Knowledge of secondary data sources including syndicated sales, promotional, and marketing data, longitudinal patient level data; experience with payer data

      • Considerable experience and expertise with statistical modeling, analysis and presentation of results to a non-technical audience

      This position is located in South San Francisco and will require working in the office a majority of the time. Relocation benefits are available.

      The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $91,000.00 - $169,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
