- Prepares intermediate-level analytic dashboards, reports and visualizations using current tools to provide insights.
- Effectively leverages intermediate-level data assets and visualization skills to create dependable analytic solutions.
- Able to understand business needs and independently investigate analytic requestes from stake holder to determine what data is needed for a project and presentation of the analysis to the group.
- Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques. Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases/data systems.
- Creates optimum analytic solutions that deliver business insights by understanding and anticipating business needs.
- Develops and writes intermediate-level executive summaries related to analytic findings and recommendations for action.
- Teaches others to effectively use datasets, analytic skills (e.g., data visualization) and analytic tools via hands-on training, personalized instruction, instructor-led webinars, and electronic media.
- Assists in designing data and analytic course content, presentation materials, evaluation forms, and training guides.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics, Business Administration or other relevant academic field.
- 3+ years’ experience with tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects and Alteryx.
- 3+ years’ experience creating impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience gathering, manipulating and visualizing data
- Knowledge of Blue KC’s business model and core health plan data.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics, Business Administration or other relevant academic field.
- 5+ years’ experience with tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects and Alteryx.
- Experience with Milliman methodologies and MedInsight analytical toolset.
- Some prior experience with health care claims.
