Job Description

- Anchoring the 11:30pm newscast.
- Occasionally anchoring other newscasts as required, including but not limited to CTV Morning Live, CTV News at Noon, CTV News at 5 and CTV News at 6
- Generating strong story ideas.
- Producing and writing for the 11:30pm newscast.
- Representing CTV at community and charity events, and making various public appearances.
- Other duties as assigned, which may include interviewing or reporting live.
- 5 years’ experience anchoring a newscast.
- Post-Secondary Education in Broadcasting or Journalism.
- Knowledge of television production procedures, terminology and equipment capabilities.
- Experience with breaking news. Strong interviewing and live skills.
- Exceptional organization, leadership, concentration and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision-making.
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Adobe and Velocity editing software.
- Knowledge of Gateway and iNews
