      The Anesthesia Support Associate assists in the OR suites and off-floor sites in stocking anesthetizing locations with supplies and equipment. The Anesthesia Support Associate will inventory anesthesia fluid carts, pyxis machines, and anesthesia machines and return supply levels to designated par levels. The support assistant will rotate stock in all locations to prevent unnecessary product ageing. Anesthesia Support Associates will check supplies in all anesthetizing locations quarterly for expired stock.

      This position performs all related duties as assigned and directed while adhering to the standards of nursing care and the policy and procedures of the Department of Anesthesiology.

      The Anesthesia Support Associate reports to Anesthesia Technician Supervisor and the Chief CRNA.

      Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A

      Experience REQUIRED:

      Must be proficient in the English language

      Education REQUIRED:

      High School diploma or equivalent

      Independent action(s) required:

      This position requires a highly motivated, self-directed and conscientious individual capable of functioning in a stressful and fast paced environment with minimal supervision.

      This position requires excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

      Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with anesthesia supplies.
