      Position Summary and Duties

      Animal Attendants within the PM Animal Resource Centre function on a rotation basis through all of the following work areas depending on operational demand: clean preparation area, animals rooms carrying husbandry and room maintenance, cleaning and stocking of general facility support areas such as corridors and labs and the soiled preparation area washing, sanitizing and sterilizing equipment. Animal health and welfare must be considered priority of all employees of the ARC. Animal Attendants function in these areas under supervision of the facility supervisor. Animal Attendants must follow departmental and institutional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and are required to sign off on completed tasks at each work area.
