  Summary:

  We have partnered with a leading medical research organization that is rapidly growing their team! As their research project demand grows, they are seeking individuals to maintain their testing facilities. This is a wonderful entry level opportunity to join a well known, established, medical research organization in the greater Indianapolis region! Are you looking for a role in an organization that creates opportunity, working in a laboratory setting and enables you to utilize your animal care and laboratory sanitation processes?

  Here is what we are looking for:

  Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain daily animal health and highest level of care
  • Care for and monitor the condition of animals recovering from surgery
  • Perform and record daily animal health observations and medications
  • Perform laboratory tests on blood, urine, or feces to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of animal health
  • Maintain controlled drug inventory and related log books
  • Perform euthanasia and appropriate care of animals or their remains

  What We Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) / Lift Science Degree (Preferred)
  • 6+ Months relevant animal care experience required
  • Must be able to have indirect and direct physical contact with multiple species of animals
  • Must be detail oriented and adhere to policy and instruction
  • Ability to move items weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Positive team player that is is self-motivated
