      Job Description:

      The Animation Editor is a digital artist that works with the Studio animator to create stunning, impactful moving storytelling. They will be responsible for compositing 2D animation sequences into 3D After Effects compositions, rendering out those sequences, and editing in Premiere.

      This role will work within The Brand Studio to craft solid storytelling through their editing skills and develop visually stunning animated spots and motion designs. They will work with the video leader, creative director and other Studio team members to design, edit and develop motion graphics for use in a variety of mediums and platforms. The ideal person will be a creative, conceptual, and innovative individual with a versatile, collaborative approach to the creative process. In addition, the candidate must be self-motivated, driven, and willing to be challenged. The candidate should also be able to effectively juggle multiple internal projects at the same time.

      What You’ll Do

      • Edit & animate videos from start to finish

      • Provide motion design work to be included in videos

      • Create visual approaches for videos and other motion mediums

      • Design and animate charts and maps

      • Assist with visual research

      • Create social media assets for our work across platforms

      • Support other art directors and graphic designers in team projects at The Brand Studio

      • H andle multiple projects at the same time

      • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

      Who You Are

      Minimum

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline ( i.e. English, Journalism, marketing or Communications, etc ) and 6 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 year s of experience , a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience or 10 years of experience in a related field with no degree

      • 5 years relevant motion graphic design experience in an agency, studio, or comparable company

      • Experienced storyteller

      • Must have experience in 2D & 3D motion, animation, ideation, storyboarding, shooting and post and all related production workflows, including 2D graphic design and 3D modeling experience

      • Must be skilled with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere

      • Proficiency with Cinema 4D with Octane Render, modeling programs to render Cox devices and other objects within a 3D space

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Must be well-versed in searching soundtracks and editing audio

      • Ability to pay close attention to detail while multitasking

      • S elf-motivated with a positive and collaborative attitude

      • Open to new ways of working that lead the industry forward

      • C omfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities

      Preferred

      • Degree in related discipline strongly desired

      • Knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony not required , but a plus
