      YWCA Minneapolis is seeking a full-time, benefits-eligible, Annual Fund Officer as a vital member of the YWCA Minneapolis Organizational Advancement Team. The Annual Fund Officer is responsible for growing the organization’s donor base, improving the experience for annual fund donors, and building relationships with donors. This position will design, plan and implement annual fund strategies to increase resources for YWCA Minneapolis to provide mission-aligned programming to our community. In addition to the general responsibilities above, this position oversees annual fund appeals, donor retention activities, and Give to the Max Day. YWCA Minneapolis’s Annual Fund Officer reports to the Chief Development Officer.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

      Annual Fund (60%)

      • Create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual fund program – including direct mail, stewardship, email and social media communications, and monthly giving program.

      • Identify Mid-Level and Major Gift prospects in collaboration with the Database and Prospect Research Manager.

      • Analyze giving data, identifying where course corrections in strategies are needed or new opportunities are emerging.

      • Ensure that commitments to annual fund donors are fulfilled and that the impact of their donation is shared with them in a meaningful way.

      • Lead the planning and execution of Give to the Max Day for YWCA Minneapolis.

      • Work with the various teams throughout YWCA Minneapolis to develop strategic priorities, update donors on program developments, and ensure philanthropic activities are recognized appropriately.

      Relationship Management (30%)

      • Work with the Database and Prospect Research Manager to coordinate mailing and solicitation lists for direct mail, email, and Gratavid.

      • Utilize Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT to create contact reports, track metrics, update missing or inaccurate constituent info, etc.

      • Proactively communicate and provide recognition to first-time donors as well as annual fund donors who reach various giving milestones.
      • Partner with the Individual Giving Team to develop and execute a strategy to connect with and retain lapsed donors.
      • Develop and implement a staff giving plan that builds a culture of philanthropy, encourages payroll giving, and increases staff participation in donor relations activities.

      Other Duties (10%)

      • Develop a deep understanding of YWCA Minneapolis programs to effectively communicate their impact and value to donors.
      • Support events sponsored by the department (Fundraising Events, Board Reunions, Women’s Triathlon, etc.).

      • Attend all relevant staff meeting, donor engagement events, and community events.
      • Assist other members of the Organizational Advancement Team as needed.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Minimum two years’ experience in a fund development environment or related field, experience supporting annual giving campaigns a plus.

      • Proven communication skills, including written, in person, and over the phone.

      • Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

      • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.

      • Demonstrated experience using a donor-relations CRM. Experience using Raiser’s Edge NXT is a plus.

      • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as required by position responsibilities.
