What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a mentor and facilitator, providing guidance and academic support to nursing students
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and engage students in the learning process
- Contribute to course assessment activities and continuous improvement plans
- Utilize various teaching methodologies to ensure student fulfillment of learning outcomes
- Assume responsibility for students in clinical settings, ensuring safety and optimal patient care
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Doctoral preparation (Ph.D. or DNP) required
- Current certification as an advanced practice nurse (FNP)
- Professional nurse licensure required
- Current licensure or eligibility for registered nursing licensure in the State of California
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One year of teaching experience in APRN core courses (Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, and Advanced Health Assessment)
- Experience in online/remote learning environments
- Familiarity with online learning management systems to enhance student engagement
