What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a mentor and facilitator, providing guidance and academic support for nursing students
- Contribute to the assessment activities of courses and curriculum improvement
- Utilize various teaching methodologies to ensure students meet prescribed learning outcomes
- Maintain scholarly activities and participate in professional growth in line with university policies
- Assume responsibility for students in clinical settings, ensuring clarity of expectations and student preparation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctoral preparation (Ph.D. or DNP) required
- Current certification as an advanced practice nurse (FNP) is necessary
- Professional nurse licensure required, with eligibility for registered nursing licensure in California
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Compliance with state, federal, and local laws/regulations related to nursing programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- At least one year of teaching experience in APRN core courses (Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, and Advanced Health Assessment)
- Experience with online/remote learning environments
- Familiarity with online learning management systems to enhance student engagement
