    • NJ Substitute Certification/or documented child care experience as prescribed by the Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing for school-age child care programs.
    • Demonstrates sound planning and organizational skills

    • Ability to develop and facilitate group activities
    • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status
    • Criminal History Background clearance
    • Plan, lead and participate in free play, structured activities and, depending on qualifications, make adjustments in programming according to space, attendance and weather conditions.
    • Assure safety of students, administer first-aid and resolve differences between students.
    • Assure students are dismissed at appropriate times for class (AM Session).
    • Communicate with Director, Lead, and Aides to discuss needs and methods to best meet those needs.
    • Assure materials and supplies are available for activities.
    • Establish a cooperative attitude among all staff, children and parents.
    • Use positive praise and encouragement when working with children and staff.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student files and other professional communication.
    • Develop monthly schedules of activities in collaboration with Director.
    • Supervise lead and Aide staff members.
    • Attend in-service meetings and other necessary meetings as requested.
    • Compile and maintain necessary student information as requested by Director.
    • Maintain a logbook of all parent contacts.
    • Conduct safety and fire drills.
    • Supports district policies and regulations.
    • Attends applicable trainings when required.
    • Perform any other related duties assigned by the Director or Superintendent.
    • TITLE: Anticipated Spartan Care Provider (Part-Time)
      TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.

      QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Valid N.J. Drivers License

      REPORTS TO: Spartan Care Director

      PURPOSE: To organize, lead and coordinate activities for the Spartan Care Program. To oversee and act as first line of referral for parents, students and staff regarding all incidents that take place during Spartan Care.

      SUPERVISES: Aides

      JOB GOAL: To assist the Director with all functions and assignments necessary for the daily functioning of the Spartan Care Program.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Staff and state statutes.
