What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate library programming and services for communities in an assigned region
- Identify and travel to community locations to provide library services from an Anywhere Library vehicle
- Provide information, reader’s advisory, and circulation services to the community outside of a library facility
- Process and deliver materials between library locations and to community stops
- Maintain the Anywhere Library vehicle, ensuring it is stocked and in good operating condition
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Anywhere Library Specialist: Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of library, outreach, customer service, or community engagement experience
- Anywhere Librarian: Master’s Degree in Library Science and at least six months of public library experience
- Valid Washington Driver’s License and safe driving record
- Ability to pass and maintain a criminal background check
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends, adapting to schedule changes on short notice
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Latinx communities and bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of library terminology, practices, services, and community engagement principles
- Familiarity with library computer systems, databases, and software
- Experience in coordinating and delivering library services and programs in community locations
- Strong customer service skills and ability to establish effective working relationships
