      Position Description

      • Serve as a key member of the respective business leadership team and effectively network throughout the global BAS product management organization
      • Deliver product revenue, gross margins, and profitability through the effective development and implementation of product plans, promotions, and pricing strategies.
      • Develop clear, comprehensive, and compelling product strategic plans and roadmaps.
      • Provide business and marketplace leadership for responsible products.
      • Provide leadership to other product NPI-related functional partners.

      Essential Job Functions

      • Deliver product financial results through effective product management
        • Establish clear market share, price, margin targets, and action plans to achieve
        • Effectively manage product launches in close partnership with channel leadership and field sales organization
        • Develop customer profitability analysis
        • Establish appropriate business requirements for manufacturing and supply chain such as demand forecasting and safety stock levels
      • Develop effective product strategic plans and roadmaps
        • Develop and effectively communicate comprehensive analysis of:
          • End-user and distributor needs and desires for relevant products and systems
          • Commercial OEM needs and desires for relevant products and systems
          • Current and anticipated competitive offerings
          • Asia Pacific (and global) market size/opportunities
          • Competitive price envelope and anticipated margin opportunity
        • Establish a compelling business case for new/enhanced product development plans
          • Partner with Engineering to assess technology potential and availability
          • Develop a complete financial plan for product development, launch, and growth
          • Effectively anticipate competitive response and prepare response plans
          • Deliver effective NPI/Business Case presentations to gain the support of global products leadership
        • Develop and maintain long-term product roadmaps
          • Actively engage in providing leadership and support to product development projects
          • Rapidly address key changes in the competitive environment
      • Provide business and marketplace leadership for responsible products
        • Actively serve as a high-level representative in industry/customer associations
        • Develop and deliver presentations at key industry events
        • Serve as key customer account interface at a senior level
      • General
      • Provide effective leadership for product development with functional teams
      • Consistently meet short and long-term deadlines.
      • Serve as an effective individual contributor and cross-functional team member
      • Work closely with their counterparts in Europe & US to co-ordinate & understand global markets
      • Represent the views & trends of the valve and actuator market in Asia Pacific
      • Provide supporting data & analysis showing the needs of the market in Asia Pacific
      • Be an active contributor to localization and local NPI projects
      • Help identify the right products
      • Manage the data flow (forecasts, pricing, growth projections, etc.) to ensure a successful start-up

      Education, Experience & Skills

      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English & Mandarin. Superior group presentation skills
      • Four-year degree in business or engineering
      • Five years or more experience in technical product marketing, specific experience in product promotion, pricing, sales, and channel management desired.
      • Three years of building automation system and solutions product management experiences is a must to have, and familiarity with PLC products and applications is a plus
      • Desire and willingness to be held accountable for delivering business results
      • Strong computer skills, namely with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
      • Demonstrated ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with interna l and external customers
      • Proven ability to drive growth and change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
