What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assign, monitor, and evaluate the assignment of CPT and HCPCS Level II procedure codes for grouping into Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APCs)
- Monitor outpatient APC reimbursement for all facilities in the West Florida Division
- Resolve APC edits to ensure accurate reimbursement under OPPS
- Stay up to date on the latest coding and payment updates from regulatory sources
- Assist in training outpatient coders on the resolution of NCCI edits
- Assist in oversight of outpatient coding queues, training, and education

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years' experience coding outpatient records
- RHIA or RHIT or CPC or CCS certification required
- Excellent communication skills
- Progressive professional growth
- Exhaustive knowledge of outpatient coding and regulatory compliance requirements
