At Collins Aerospace, our Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems organization is a growing business area in need of a systems engineering intern to support design and development of state-of-the-art navigation products for the Government marketplace. Our team needs engineers interested in architecting, designing, and developing software for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military ground, airborne, and maritime applications.

This position offers abundant opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of Assured PNT systems architecture, and to apply that knowledge in a team effort to develop our navigation products for the warfighter.

Our navigation solutions provide enhanced situational awareness and pinpoint accuracy for airborne and surface missions worldwide allowing users of our equipment to complete their mission and return home safe.

What You Will Do:

• Have fun.
• Learn about advanced PNT and counter PNT technologies.
• Develop an application that can geolocate RF interference sources.
• Demonstrate your application with mature embedded PNT hardware.

What You Will Learn:

• Develop non-linear estimation algorithms for geolocating RF interference sources.
• Develop a real time application that can display RF emitter locations.
• General systems and software development skills.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
