      Responsibilities:

      • Review incoming Appeals from Health Care Professionals
      • Research particular item being appealed against Standard Operating Claim Payment Procedures and/or State and Federal Regulations in IComply, and Benefit Access
      • Determine if the claim issue in question was paid correctly or needs an adjustment.
      • Send formal Letter explaining appeals that are upheld.
      • Make adjustments on overturned appeals or appropriately route the appeal for adjustment.
      • Manage personal inventory and aging by use of daily reports provided.
      • Prepare and route appeals requiring clinical review to the Clinical Appeals Team

      Qualifications:

      • Attention to Detail a must.
      • Familiarity with State and Federal Regulations when processing claims
      • Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT-4 and ICD9 coding preferred.
      • Good written and communication skills
      • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Word experience highly preferred

      If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

      For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 19 - 29 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

      This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
