      CLC is seeking enthusiastic and competent Legal Interns to support the day-to-day activities of our Appellate/Writing Unit.

      The goals of a CLC internship are to learn the areas of the law in which we practice, gain hands-on experience and provide assistance to CLC staff, but more importantly our clients. After an orientation and training the intern will be paired with a mentor and will receive close supervision and training.

      Some of the duties of an Appellate/Writing Unit Intern may include:

      • Observation of court proceedings, witness interviews and conferences
      • Drafting legal documents such as motions and briefs
      • Drafting appellate briefs
      • Digesting case records (school, medical, COI’s, forensic reports)
      • Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda of law
      • Factual and Legal cite checking
      • Obtaining and copying court files
