5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree or equivalent
12+ years of professional experience
Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Skilled in communications with government customers on issues
Cloud experience
Familiar with DIA engineering environment
Ability to capture user issues and feedback
Ability to create sustainable processes
FIDOS-X experience
Skilled in engineering efforts (using Appian) of core processes for a federal government agency

OverviewBigBear.ai is seeking an Appian SME to join our team. This candidate will work closely with the development team and our customers in the DoD and IC. The position will be on-site in Reston, VA and requires a TS/SCI w CI Poly.
What you will doAs a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy client needs.
You will develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, providing specific input to system design, and adhering to formal design processes and guidelines.
You will design and develop user-friendly interfaces, maintain technical documentation, and ensure quality control of software.
You will select development processes, recommend new technologies, and troubleshooting complex software problems.
You will also integrate new products with existing applications to improve system functionality and design.
