Job Description

- Develop logical and physical database designs based on project requirements, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.
- Write and optimize database queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support application functionality and performance.
- Create and maintain data models to represent the structure, relationships, and constraints of the data within the database.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize database configurations, queries, and indexing to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Assist in the migration of data between different database systems including on-prem and cloud architectures, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Work closely with clients, business analysts, systems programmers, and application developers to understand application requirements and provide database-related support and expertise.
- Develop new, enhance, and enforce existing standards, processes and procedures, and guidelines for database environments.
- Document database designs, data models, and development processes to ensure clarity and maintainability for future reference.
- Implement and maintain database security measures such as user permissions, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive data.
- Responsible for forecasting data utilization patterns and recommending modifications or upgrades for process improvement.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as database schema updates, data purging, and space management to ensure data integrity and efficient database operations.
- Keep up to date with advancements in database technologies, best practices, and industry trends to improve skills and enhance efficiency in database development tasks.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience as an Application Database Administrator
- 2+ years of hands-on Programming experience
- 2+ years of experience in Data Modeling tools.
- 1+ year of proficiency with on-prem and cloud database replication tools
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex information.
- Experience and exposure to multiple database technologies is preferred.
- Experience in data encryption, partitioning, replication, advanced compression, and auditing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workload independently.
- Strong collaborative skills to ensure timely project completion within a team environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Self-driven, results-oriented mindset with a keen sense of urgency in resolving production issues.

Responsible for creating and managing both Logical and Physical database architectures, encompassing the strategic planning, construction, and upkeep of database components. Additionally, provide support to the development team in database design, deployment, and implementation tasks.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.

$85,621- $107,009
