What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support and maintain applications for managing groups, sales, renewals, pricing, contracts, and documents within the group insurance space
- Analyze and resolve user-reported application, environmental, and infrastructure problems
- Manage help desk ticket queue and provide customer service to business partners
- Provide production support to a large user base through SQL data fixes and code enhancements
- Apply software development and test automation practices using various technologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3 or more years of professional development experience with technologies such as Java (1.8+), Spring, Grails/Groovy, SQL, REST, XML/XSLT, JSON, and related frameworks
- Familiarity with writing SQL queries in a multi-table DB environment (e.g., DB2 or similar)
- Exposure to automation testing frameworks, version control systems, and CI/CD pipeline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical, decision-making, customer relations, and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
