The supply chain team comprises highly motivated and dedicated professionals who succeed in a fast-paced, relentless, and uncompromising environment that affords an essential flow of parts and services to support the operation. Reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader and the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer is an exciting new role within the easyJet E&M supply chain. This role will be responsible for the placement of all purchase orders to support base maintenance requirements and any other as required purchasing activity and subsequent progress chasing. Ensuring that all E&M supply chain purchase orders are consistent with contractual (or quoted) terms and conditions and adhere to central procurement and finance policies. This also includes the administration of PR, PO & GRN’s throughout the purchasing process.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for the placement of all purchase orders in line with supplier contracts or quoted works, ensuring the correct policies are followed and costs allocated to correct cost centre(s). You are also responsible for PO progress chasing and expediting until PO cancellation or GRN completed, and for the administration of systems including AMOS and AGRESSO in respect to PR, PO, and GRN. Focal point for finance (AP) for all PO and invoicing queries. You’ll assist the Purchasing Team Leader and Purchasing Manager in analysing all non-contractual costs and identifying opportunities to reduce costs. Assisting the Purchasing Team Leader and Sales, Loans and Exchanges Specialist in raising PO’s, credit notes, and invoices for all supply chain activity including Base maintenance, entry into service, and end of lease. Supporting the Purchasing team as a key stakeholder in (central) procurement processes, e.g. RFI, RFP production and in the production and maintenance of regulatory procedures.
What you’ll need to do the role:As a buyer, you’ll need strong IT skills, inclusive of Microsoft Office packages. You should be able to communicate effectively at a high level with business stakeholders, both internal and external. The ability to work in a team and as an individual. Have a proven track record of negotiation skills. Contract knowledge is desirable. CIPS (desirable). Comprehensive knowledge of AMOS and AGRESSO systems is advantageous. An airline industry or strong MRO/Broker background is essential.

Location & Hours of Work
This full-time role will be based in Capability Green or H89 Luton Airport, and will be 40 hours per week. Travel may be required from time to time.
