      Job Purpose: The Application Product Specialist a technical sales specialist of cutting tools specifically threading tools, drills, reamers, and end mills. They will develop a well-defined list of key current and target end-user accounts that purchase annual cutting tool volume sales in excess of $100,000 of drills, end mills, and threading tools or have the potential of significant volume. The specialist has a wide knowledge of specialty designed tools. Responsible to plan and conduct work requiring substantial judgment in tool evaluation, selection, and applications. Dedicates majority of time focused at key end-users accounts.


      Job Responsibilities:

      • Provide application assistance with all levels of the decision channel within the end-user account. Recommend tool design and application set-up requirements.
      • Assist Distributor Account Representative in developing target accounts and coordination within the distribution channel.
      • Communicate the support needs required of the specific distributor or distributors.
      • Seek to identify new product opportunities as well as potential enhancements of current product. Conduct field research and testing of new products,
      • Interface with the appointed product technical specialist to process test tool requirements and division support requirements.
      • Provide Area Sales Manager monthly activities report for each key end-user account, identifying monthly accomplishments and new business performance to goals for each account.
      • Spend 90% of effort focused entirely on key end-user accounts, 10% would be coordinating with Distributor Account Representative and Distribution.
      • Travel 60% of the time.
