    • Represent District 228 as the primary point person when dealing with outside vendors and 3rd parties for any troubleshooting and problem resolution outside of server/network issues.
    • Provide training for the applications supported.
    • Provide software, hardware, and network troubleshooting support to help the district technology team deliver the best possible service.
    • Serve as project manager for various projects.
    • Enforce system standards across all ecosystems.
    • When problems arise, lead the process of cause analysis and solution recommendations to find a resolution to the problem. Afterwards, coordinate the implementation of a process to prevent a recurrence of the same issue.
    • Install and maintain new and existing systems and technologies to support the educational goals of the district.
    • Create and maintain documentation including accurate diagrams, operational procedures and response protocols.
    • Automate many of the typical repetitive tasks and reporting that allows efficient management of the environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

      POSITION SUMMARY
      To provide support with the evaluation of, installation of, training users with, various applications across the district. The applications specialist will serve as the primary troubleshooter for end users and will work in both group and one-on-one settings supporting district users. In addition, they will lead the district in the physical security department with regards to technology.

      TASK AREAS
