Introduction:
• The Application Support Analyst will perform a critical role in Application Support and Service Management with responsibility to working on Business requirements and update reference tables to reflect as per Project and Business requirements.
• The Application Support Analyst will perform a critical role in Application Support and Service Management with responsibility to ensure stability, continuity, and availability of the application, in addition to providing rapid response to incidents and escalated users queries.
• Technical support and Maintenance of the Business Service and Applications
• Hands-on and should be able to work independently and if required guide teammates
• Own maintain and track incidents through their entire lifecycle, Strong Analytical Skills
• Manage the successful handover of change into the support environment.What will you be doing?
• Takes responsibility for technical solution to incidents, and problem, reacting quickly and as necessary to live software errors to limit downtime and resolve the issue
• Takes accountability for ownership and execution of all application related activities related to the day-to-day operations of the Banks production applications related to the individual Product area
• Ownership and prioritisation of individual Incidents and ensuring the delivery of solutions in line with the Service Level agreements and Operational Level Agreements to deadlines and quality standards, providing regular update to key stakeholders and all levels
• Support the handover of new or enhanced software into business-as-usual (BAU) operation, absorbing and assimilating the information and providing resources information and education relating to the system technology and function.
• The delivery of documentation to agreed standards, on time and error free
• Provide 24/7 cover and support, providing expertise and specialised system knowledge to allow resolution of key incidents outside of business hours
• Identify proactive remedial strategies to prevent future software problems and to improve the quality of delivered software.

ITIL V3 foundation certified, previous production support experience, development experienceWhat we’re looking for:

• Evidence of strong experience of IT software support
• Work experience in incident and problem management /business analysis is strongly desired

• Ability to scrutinise all change to protect production service whilst maximising change throughput
• Ability to provide critical out-of-hours, rapid-responsive support
• Ability to solve and manage technical issues of varying complexity to eventual resolution
• Ability to eventually provide consultancy on all Base24 production matters and play an active role in delivering improvements and/or appropriate automated solutions
• Desire to acquire new communication; matrix management; organisational; problem management and networking skills
• Live support experience preferably on Base24 Classic and/or Tandem
• Knowledge of HP Non-stop hardware environment and concepts of resilient design
• Strong level of Application/production support experience and ITIL process flow including experience of Service First
• Knowledge of Base24 Classic POS and/or ATM and/or FHM Products.
• Knowledge of ATM devices and Barclays Self-service devices
• Knowledge of HSMs and Cryptographic Keys
• Knowledge of POS and ATM transaction processing
• Knowledge of EMV, ISO and PCI standards
• Knowledge of Payment Networks (LINK, MasterCard, Visa) and their message protocols (LIS5, Visa Base I, BNET, ISO 8583)
• Knowledge of Cryptography/Security in online processing ideally using ACI TSS
• Knowledge of Base24 Middleware (XPNET) and its NCPCOM interface
• Knowledge of ACI TSS and Base24 AFT Screens and functions
• Knowledge of main Base24 databases: CAF, PBF, TLF, PTLF, ILF
• Knowledge of Base24 config files: ATD, ICF, HCF, ICFE, PRE, KEYF, IDF, CPF etc
• Knowledge of Tandem utilities/tools/services: FUP, TACL, PERUSE, EMS (EMSPERUS), DDL, Enform, Pathway (Pathcom/Pathmon), Pstate SCF, Spoolcom, Multibatch
• Knowledge of Third-Party Prognosis Tool
• Knowledge of Tandem languages: Tal, TACL, Cobol, Scobol
• Knowledge of ACI URAM/RAM providing remote message services to HSMs or Security Services servers (BTAP)
• Knowledge of CTS/E processes - ACIs external comms for Xpnet Middleware
