      What does a great an Application Support Engineer do at Fiserv?

      You will have an opportunity to work in a critical tier 2 support role in Fiserv payments organization, supporting multiple applications in Java and Microsoft technologies. You will be diagnosing and fixing operational issues with our high-volume transaction processing applications, products, and platforms. Using product knowledge, subject matter expertise and technical skills, you will provide the highest level of service to resolve the client/customer's issues.

      What you will do:

      • Triage and resolve client requests and incidents
      • Analyze internal alerts coming from various monitoring tools like Splunk, Sitescope, Dynatrace etc
      • Analyze code and participate in root cause analysis.
      • Participate in on-call rotation
      • Work closely with product development teams to review operational readiness of production changes
      • Work in a team environment as well as independently resolve issues with minimal supervision

      What you will need to have:

      • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Tier-2 technical support on Java or .Net based applications at large organizations in high demanding environment
      • Will consider development experience in Java or Microsoft technologies (C#, .Net), as long as you’re willing to work in a support role
      • Strong experience supporting websites, webservices and windows based applications
      • Basic understanding of Java or .Net technologies
      • Experience with multi-tier architecture applications
      • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues
      • Basic understanding of network concepts

      What would be nice to have:

      • Strong Knowledge of Webservices like SOAP and REST
      • Experience with Service Now for Incident, Case, Problem and Change Management
      • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace
      • Experience creating tools for automating middleware maintenance
      • Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, PCF

      This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
