      Job Title: Application Support Specialist Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Reports to: Director of Network Operations Pay Grade: Technical 3 Dept./School: Technology Services Date Revised: 01/2024 Primary Purpose: To provide maintenance, planning, and technical support for District-wide applications Work with vendors on the implementation of new District-wide applications To maintain software copyright procedures, software and hardware inventories Administer, maintain, and provide technical support for District web applications and services Qualifications: Education/Experience: College degree or comparable technical training, certification, or work experience with a focus on supporting educational technology in K-12 environments Required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to monitor and control software license information for the district Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software over the phone Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users. Experience with enterprise-level systems in the administration of users, groups, and permissions within Active Directory Experience with Google Suite Experience with SCCM/Azure/Entra ID application packaging and deployment Experience with web/content filtering Experience with digital signage software and interactive displays Experience with transportation and bus routing software Experience with PowerShell and scripting Experience with software in dealing with child nutrition and lunch programs Major Responsibilities and Duties: Stay abreast of current and developing security trends and vulnerabilities Maintain and manage the District’s educational suite of programs. Maintain and facilitate the use of the District’s digital media distribution system. Facilitate software purchases at campus and District level. Maintains communications with all software bid vendors. Coordinates software distribution to schools. Keeps abreast of legal issues involving software. Diagnose and resolve application-related issues promptly, working closely with end-users and vendors as needed. Provide technical assistance via the District Help Desk. Monitor and provide regular reports on all systems to the Director of Network Operations Maintain confidentiality on staff and student information. Regular and consistent attendance. All other duties as assigned. Demonstrate patience and flexibility when working with others. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Work with frequent interruptions.
