- Providing application support to the European trading desks.
- Troubleshoot problems with day to day technical and functionals operations raised by the trading desks and provide clearly defined solutions.
- Monitoring and proactive maintenance of the electronic trading platforms primarily made up of ION Trading’s MMI and Anvil software components.
- Effective liaison with other front and back office teams.
- Incident management and communication of the status of all incidents to both business and technology management.
- Preparing maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for the front office platforms.
- Troubleshooting complex pricing and risk calculation issues
- Work closely with the other teams within GBME and Technology Infrastructure.
- Passion for IT and Technology to develop a career in capital markets IT.
- This is a client facing role so Communication skills and Active listening are essential.
- Business awareness with an understanding of Fixed Income pricing and risk calculation models.
- Patience, Understanding and empathy with others.
- Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to balance multiple problems simultaneously.
- Good oral/written skills for operational documentation and communication with support groups in other departments.
- Desire to gain knowledge of new systems and technology through in house and external training and studying.

The incumbent will be an important member of a strong team who support, manage and maintain the capital markets electronic trading platform for the London & Dublin sales and trading desks. The role will directly interface with FX, Equities and Fixed Income business users.
This position will have responsibilities supporting business units in both Dublin and London.
