      Job Summary:

      Supermicro is looking for an Application Validation Engineer to take ownership in motherboard, system and add-on-card testing, the individual will work with cross-functional engineering team to fix quality issues and ensure the products meet engineering and customer specifications, support Research and Development engineering and pre-and-post product release activities, such as white-box design verification, BIOS/IPMI testing on the board products, as well as on the system level, black-box testing. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in Linux and Windows operating system and solid working knowledge in hardware validation testing.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

      • Perform motherboard, server system, and other server component validation testing

      • Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing

      • Document and analyze test data

      • Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems

      • Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions

      • Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation

      • Provide Linux kernel, driver and application analysis and support

      • Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor or Master's degree in EE or CE is preferred

      • 2+ years of experience as Application Validation Engineer or related field is a plus

      • Familiar with Server and Computer Architecture

      • Basic knowledge of Networking/TCPIP

      • Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment

      • Familiar with Linux Operation System

      • Strong attention to details

      • White and Black Box testing experience

      • Basic programming skill (is a plus)

      Salary Range

      $78,000 - $131,000

      The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
