      The Applications Analyst will support, advise and oversee all matters relating to health informatics for applications supported within the Applications Team Portfolio. As a member of the Biomedical and System Engineering group, the Applications Analyst will have expertise with supporting, maintaining, and implementing of many hospital applications. The successful candidate will provide applications support, systems integration analysis, vendor management, and liaise with departments and vendors on new projects and rollouts.Key Responsibilities:

      • Proven track record in supporting large-scale healthcare information systems and technology with a focus on high availability and currency of releases.
      • Identify opportunities to innovate, enhance and increase the service delivery of applications.
      • Provide application troubleshooting support.
      • Assist in problem management activities.
      • Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces and other system modifications
      • Provide technical support as an escalation point for Applications Support team during business hours.
      • Participate in the patching of systems.
      • Document and maintain application profiles used by Information Services
      • Ability to participate in on-call rotation and to work odd or extended hours as required.

      Qualifications & Skills:

      • Successful completion of either a university degree or college diploma in a computer science, health-related discipline or finance
      • Three (3) years of recent related experience in hospital clinical and/or Hospital Information Systems/EMR experience
      • ITIL and/or PMP certification is an asset.
      • Experience with Oracle HR and UKG Scheduling systems would be an asset.
      • Clinical professional designations an asset
      • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis.
      • Strong documentation and organizational skills
      • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
      • Previous experience completing technical assessments and providing effective recommendations.
      • Exceptional multi-tasking, leadership and problem solving abilities
