- Basic knowledge of application development
- Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Good analytical, trouble shooting skills and client facing experience is required
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience in Application Production Support in Cloud, UNIX/Linux/Windows environment
- Uses Change Management, Incident management, coordinating/managing incident tickets and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Working with distributed applications (Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, UNIX, Linux, Java, Java servlets and JSP, Spring, Hibernate, SOAP, web services etc)
- Experience in UNIX shell, Perl, Python, Ruby or similar scripting languages
- Experience with IIS, Apache/tomcat/WebSphere and WebLogic
- Development experience with Shell Scripting, PowerShell Scripts and SQL Scripts, implementing SSL Certificates
- Experience working with scheduling tools like Autosys and Control-M
We are looking to fill a position for application support.As an Application Support Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. The applicant must be able to demonstrate ability to analyze situational data, evaluate for critical issues, work with distributed teams, handle product escalations, and communicate effectively on product related issues. The applicant should have experience in Monitoring platforms, these should include Splunk (or equivalent), Dynatrace (or equivalent). Applicant should have knowledge around cloud related platforms, Linux experience, understanding of java, python, and ci/cd pipelines. Applicant should have good communication skills and should be able to provide and update documentation, be active in product discussions, and be part of an on-call rotation.Job responsibilities
