- We are offering a full-time permanent digital solutions engineering Apprenticeship.
- This is a genuine alternative to university for people who have a passion for engineering and who want to launch their career with us. The apprenticeship will combine on-the-job work experience, with time at college to achieve a BTEC Diploma in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- You will learn how to define, design & deploy digital solutions, and integrate various building controls systems using latest JCI’s digital platform.
- Gain knowledge and be proficient in Johnson Controls manufactured products and software. Understand complex Mechanical & Electrical systems, be able to analyse relevant technical documents and from a static state commission the controls system and designated plant interfaces bringing the control system and plant to full operation such that it performs according to the project specifications.
- Further opportunities await as experience is gained in being able to diagnose, solve technical problems in both software & hardware, advice to customers on energy efficiencies utilising Johnson Controls energy management software.

How you will do it
Details of apprenticeship
All Johnson Controls apprentices benefit from structured training and support throughout the duration of the apprenticeship. You will start your apprenticeship with the company induction to give you a strong foundation for success.
The apprentice will be enrolled on to the digital solutions 3 Engineering Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship duration is a minimum of 3 years depending on your prior qualifications and experience.
You will receive a blend of remote and in-person training during the first 3 years of the apprenticeship course.
Progression opportunities
There is the opportunity to progress on to higher or degree apprenticeships and gain further qualifications in the future to support your ongoing career development within the organisation.

Entry requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade 5-9 (A-C in old grading system) or level 2 equivalent e.g., functional skills.
