Primary Purpose Assist electrician in keeping all electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in safe working condition. Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure High school diploma or GED Eligible for apprentice license through Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility Requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communicational and interpersonal skills Basic knowledge of electrical tools and multi-meters Ability to read and understand verbal instructions in English Basic knowledge in commercial electrical/conduit and 3 phase experience Experience Requirement determined by supervisor Major Responsibilities and Duties Assist electrician in keeping all electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in safe working condition. Maintain truck parts inventory and attribute repair parts to appropriate work order. Maintain neat and orderly work vehicle. Follow all safety rules relating to trade. Attend all safety meetings. Participate in after hours on-call response protocol as scheduled by the Electrical Supervisor. Participate in District Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by District Incident Commander or designee. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned. Equipment Used Including but not limited to all types of electrical tools and diagnostic equipment Working Conditions Mental Demands Effective communication; concentration in assembly and repair of energized and equipment; ability to maintain emotional control at all times Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; lifting to 80 pounds; inside and outside exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust toxic chemicals, and materials; working on ladders; working in and around energized environment Terms: 230 days Pay Grade: AUX 6About the company
