      Engineering apprentices will play a key role by becoming thoroughly familiar with all phases of the operation, installation and maintenance of the electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems in the facility. Additionally, the apprentice will need to maintain accurate time and work records related to their work, report to school multiple nights a week, and obtain and maintain certain certifications and licenses.

      Core Responsibilities:

      • Under the direction of general engineers perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related systems.

      • Work in all shops in a rotation corresponding with the apprenticeship classes.

      • Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas, or water leaks.

      • Maintain equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.

      • Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair.

      • Other duties as assigned by management.

      Qualifications:

      • Must be at least 18 years of age.

      • Must have a valid Nevada driver's license.

      • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.

      • Must be able to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

      • Applicants must be eligible per the Southern Nevada Operating and Maintenance Engineers Apprenticeship and Training fund to apply for this position.

      Preferred:

      • No experience necessary.

      Physical Demands:

      • Work is performed in both indoor (including coolers and freezers) and outdoor settings.

      • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

      • May be exposed to smoke.

      • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

      • Constant contact with executives, department management, team members, and guests.

      • High mobility, including Prolonged sitting or standing.

      • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

      • Eye/hand coordination.

      • Use of standard office equipment.

      • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
