      Working as part of the Workshop Team in Morely , Leeds, to learn the theoretical and practical skills to braze and tension Stainless Steel products (Circular blades, Gang saw blades, and wire) using Industrial diamond segments working to stringent standards and quality levels.

      Responsibilities & Key Tasks

      • Learn to read engineering apparatus including welding symbols and associated specifications

      • gaining experience and understanding with different materials, their properties and applications.

      • Operate automatic Grinding and brazing equipment together with working within comprehensive Health & Safety practices

      • We will be looking for the Engineering Apprentice to assist the workshop Engineering team with the following tasks within the specified period:

      • Re-tipping and re-tensioning Circular and Gang Saw Blades , Grinding and Polishing wheels / Rings etc. using Industrial Diamonds.

      • Using Lathes and bore machines for organising modifications /Drilling and countersinking peg holes etc.

      • Tensioning and modifications of Blades using blade tension gauges.

      • Develop a great understanding of Health and Safety guidelines within a workshop environment.

      • Facilitate the Booking in and out of all products within the range.

      • Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed correctly

      • P roblem solving and analytical skills

      • The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

      • The ability to evaluate and embrace new software technologies.
