- Recent experience working as a Therapy Assistant within an NHS Physiotherapy Service.
- Experience in following Physiotherapy treatment plans and has completed goal setting.
- Basic level computer skills particularly the ability to use Excel and Word, access patient administration systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the use of e-mails
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Evidence of CPD
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Have an understanding of the Physiotherapy profession
- Three GCSE passes at grade C / grade 4 or above including Maths and English
- BBB at A Level, preferably in a health related subject Or; Merit at T Level in Health or Healthcare Science, Or; DDM in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care or Applied Science Or, NCFE CACHE Technical Level 3 Extended Diploma/Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at Grade B Or, Access to Higher Education Diploma with 45 Level 3 credits, 30 at Distinction and 15 at Merit

Job summary
Salary: AFC Band 5 Annex 21
These payments are subject to change with the new 2024-25 pay scales
Year 1- 65% of the top of band 5 - £22,477.65
Year 2- 70% of the top of band 5 - £24,206.70
Year 3- 75% of the top of band 5 - £25,935.75
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to become a Physiotherapist. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about the profession and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of a physiotherapist through experience. For those people who are interested in helping individuals overcome difficulties affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, education and advice - working across varied specialties with people of all ages, then this is a fantastic opportunity.
The apprenticeship is a 3 year degree level program for a Physiotherapy (Degree Apprenticeship) BSc (Hons) during which you will learn all the skills needed to become a registered Physiotherapist.
We will provide a work placed mentor to provide guidance, support and knowledge in the Physiotherapy profession.
A clean British driving licence is essential as is access to a car with business class insurance.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of the therapy team learning alongside them in the workplace. The academic and placement component is supported by The University of Huddersfield. The successful applicant would be offered the post subject to being accepted onto the University of Huddersfield Physiotherapy Apprentice degree program. Support to complete this application will be provided.
