Job summary
Are you looking to start a career within the NHS and gain a qualification at the same time? We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Business Support Team, supporting MSK Services in the Southampton area.
This is an apprenticeship post working towards a Level 3 qualification in Business and Administration - please see attached addendum for further details regarding this.
The MPP Service; encompasses the MSK (Musculoskeletal), Podiatry, Pain and Fatigue services for Portsmouth, Southampton, South East Hants and Fareham and Gosport. These teams provide physiotherapy, specialist physiotherapy services, podiatry, pain management, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, Long Covid fatigue and Long Covid clinics across these areas in the community.
Main duties include:
*To work as part of a skill mix team for MPP Services, providing comprehensive administrative support to the services.
*To effectively prioritise and manage own workload as necessary
*First point of contact for patients coming into our services at reception and over the telephone.
Please read both Job Descriptions attached. The Band 2 will be the role you are working at while completing your apprenticeship and the Band 3 is the role once the course has been completed.
Main duties of the job
*To work as part of a high-quality admin team and deliver service excellence to Business Support management team, clinical managers and pathway leads.
*To undertake secretarial/administration duties for the MPP service including word processing/typing, minutes of meetings, reports, filing, photocopying as required.
*Ensure the security, accuracy and recording of people's data in accordance with the relevant Trust policies.
*Maintain and input accurate data onto service databases.
*To assist in the co-ordination of staff meetings, booking venues and requirements as necessary.
*To participate in team meetings, taking minutes if required.
*Assist in the provision of a general administration service to the MPP team as required.
*To assist planning workshops, study days and other service initiatives.
*Management of MPP team diaries where required.
*To process incoming/outgoing mail for the service in accordance with Trust policy.
*To be able to communicate effectively with all staff, patients and those contacting the service.
*Provide customer service via telephone or email. Work with senior team members to deal with complex queries.
*To provide excellent and timely communication to all enquiries and external liaisons.
