- The Hospice Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) practices within the context of F.S. Chapter 464, the Nurse Practice Act* & Chapter 64B9 of the Florida Administrative Code*.
- The ARNP practices under the supervision of a Hospice physician, a Florida licensed medical doctor or osteopathic physician as outlined by written protocol.
- S\he reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.
- S\he is responsible for conducting all Face-to-Face (F2F) administrative visits for Hospice patients in their third benefit period or greater, and all new patients being admitted to Hospice that require a F2F visit prior to admission, within their assigned geographical territory (Area).
- S\he provides medical guidance to the Interdisciplinary Care Group, employees and volunteers to assure the maintenance of quality care for patients and families.
- Serves as a liaison between the medical community and the community at large.
- S\he acts as an ambassador and an advocate for all services along the TrustBridge continuum of care.

JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
o Current unconditional State of Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license pursuant to rule 64B9-4.010
o Ongoing education and professional activity/affiliation specific to a hospice/palliative care nurse
o Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing required; or H\PM certification required within 24 months of employment.o DEA certification preferred.
B. Skills:
o Three (3) years in oncology, palliative care or hospice care as a registered nurse preferred.o Demonstrates in-depth clinical knowledge in end of life care, advanced verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of team dymanics, strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking ability, patient advocacy, ability to act as a role model, coach and mentor.o I possess the ability to drive, a reliable car, a good driving record, automobile insurance, a valid Florida Driver’s license and basic knowledge of the county territory.
C. Professional Requirements:
o Possess or is eligible to obtain malpractice coverage
D. Language Skills:
o Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
