Providing accurate and specialised strategic advice on operations to Operations SA Inspectors and contribute to the implementation of national and regional operational initiatives

Assisting in the development of tactical responses to maintain border controls including traveller processing, aircraft and vessel clearance including intervention

Building and maintaining strong working relationships and negotiating positive outcomes with both internal and external stakeholders

Regional Operations | Ac West | Operations SA | Border Operations - Aviation Operations Travellers
APS4 Leading Border Force Officers employed in the Airport Operations domain work within international airports to conduct passenger processing and enforce customs and immigration legislation at the border. They facilitate the movement of passengers by conducting immigration clearance, visa and identity checks and responding to national intelligence alerts. They may conduct interviews and undertake search and examination activities, including searching persons, baggage and aircraft.
Officers in this domain provide a front-line service to travellers, providing advice and resolving enquiries. APS4 Leading Border Force Officers assist and supervise the collection of tax and duties. They may also conduct Tourist Refund Scheme activities and surveillance contributing to airside security.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
