- Accountable for financial development including budgeting and meeting growth expectations.
- Manage financial controls such as registration processing, implementation of accounting best practices, administration of grants and contracts, vendor relations, accounts receivable and payable, scholarship processing, and department wages control.
- Develop and implement marketing plans for department growth, especially grassroots efforts. Collaborate with the Marketing Department on collateral development and brand maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, policies, and standards. Conduct routine risk assessments, address deficiencies, and report incidents promptly.
- Serve as a member of the branch safety team and act as a first responder during emergencies.
- Supervise staff including hiring, scheduling, enforcing expectations, ensuring compliance with standards, coordinating with Human Resources, maintaining communication, and modeling best practices.
- Provide growth and development opportunities for staff, including goal setting, annual evaluations, coaching, and training plan development.
- Meet program quality expectations as outlined in association procedures, policies, and standards, focusing on character education and HEPA standards.
- Manage programs routinely, including developing proposals, implementing offerings, evaluating data, and communicating results.
- Lead an annual campaign team to meet volunteer and financial goals, and support branch fundraising events.
- Work with volunteers in various roles, including recruitment, screening, training, and evaluation.
- Oversee the branch environment, serve as a manager on duty, enforce membership expectations, promote cross-marketing, and collaborate on branch goals.
- Participate as part of the association resource team to grow the business and enhance quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster member connections.
- Understand and act as a mandated reporter for elder and child abuse, reporting and responding per policies.
- Perform all duties with honesty, ethics, and professionalism.
- Implement YMCA core values and support strategic initiatives.
- Follow the chain of command for reporting concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; related work experience may compensate for degree requirements.
- Childcare Program Director must meet Site Supervisor requirements.
- Aquatics Program Director must meet Lifeguard requirements.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Complete required certifications within 30 days of hire.
- Complete all branch and position-specific training within two weeks of hire.
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance.
- Ability to participate in the DMV Pull Program.
