      AR BILLING & COLLECTION SPECIALIST

      The AR Billing Specialist duties consists of:

      • Establish, build, and maintain rapport by delivering excellent customer service via phone and email directly with
        Business Office Managers and all team members.
      • Collaborate with a team of enthusiastic professionals to minimize aging/bad debt exposure by researching delinquent accounts and using problem‐solving and multitasking skills to quickly identify and resolve account issues.
      • Willingness to learn Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other Commercial Payer and/or Third‐Party billing.
      • Perform facility Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other Commercial Payer and/or Third‐Party claims billing monthly.
      • Advise and communicate any errors and/or variances found and make recommendations on an on‐going basis to facility Business Office Managers.
      • Analyze and research any unpaid, no response claims; analyzing trends with accounts to foresee any potential issues.
      • Evaluate denials and partial payments to determine if further reimbursement is valid and properly appeal within guidelines to facilitate payments.
      • Continually following up with insurance companies to ensure a quick payment process.
      • Utilize best practices and AR reports to target aged balances for collection to meet and maintain aging goals.
      • Identify and request adjustments to accounts as necessary while following company procedures.
      • Ability to perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: cash receipt research/posting, billing, and Business Office Manager support.
      • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the financial goals, objectives, policies, and procedures while demonstrating the Mission, Vision, and Values of Vetter Senior Living.


      Qualified candidates will be experienced and have a strong knowledge in the following areas of accounting:

      • Associates degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
        Knowledge of PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word
      • Experience using PointClickCare and eSolutions/Waystar software preferred.
      • Working knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Medicaid, Commercial Payer and/or Third‐Party billing in a SNF environment.
      • Strong in collections and follow up on unpaid accounts
      • Multi‐facility SNF experience highly preferred
      • Attention to detail with the capability of maintaining confidentiality

      Qualifications

      Qualified candidates will have two years' experience in A/R and/or Third Party Insurance billing, preferably in the area of Medicare, Medicaid, and other Commercial payers. They will have a practical understanding of functional accounting procedures, A/R, claim follow-up and collections, A/P, account reconciliation, month-end close and financial reports.
