What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor arbitration deadlines to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations
- Manage inventory of assigned disputes and follow arbitration team pathways
- Support the filing of disputes utilizing relevant Department of Insurance and CMS portals
- Respond to inquiries from arbitrators and maintain electronic case files for disputes
- Communicate regularly with arbitration management regarding trends and issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4-5 years of related experience in healthcare billing or managed care programs
- Advanced level skills in MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Anesthesia experience preferred
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and ASA coding
- Prior collections experience and/or phone work is a plus
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology and concepts
