      ROLE OVERVIEW:
      Responsible for the design, installation, securing and maintenance of a company’s communications infrastructure, including telephone, data, and video systems.


      ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      • Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communication systems. Additionally, lead the lifecycle management process to ensure clearly define roadmaps for technology solutions, ensuring seamless transformation and adoption by the business.
      • Assess and recommend network and telecommunications equipment, connectivity technology and security configuration to meet organization’s needs. Define and document technical requirements for new capabilities, working with suppliers to solution, build, and lab certify ensuring compliance with all functional, operational, and business objectives. Develop proposals and communicate outcomes that address business value/risk and gain stakeholder approval.
      • Mentor the telecommunications and network team members, providing training and development opportunities as needed.
      • Develop standards, policies and procedures for the network and telecommunications infrastructure.
      • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to telecommunications.
      • Act as lead/contributor on key network/telecom projects, representing the organization and working closely with Project Managers, Operations, Business Units, Suppliers, Peer Organizations, and IT stakeholders.
      • Assist with contract negotiations and department budget planning process.
      • Stay updated with advancements in the field of network and telecommunications implementing new technologies to enhance service.
      • Creating and implementing disaster recovery plans to ensure data can be retrieved in the event of a disaster.
      • Ensure documentation of network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.


      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking equipment, broadband communication, VoIP, SIP, and network protocols.
      • Preferred Technology Platforms: Cisco/Arista routing, switching, wireless; Palo Alto firewalls and Prisma Access; Cisco Call Manager; Microsoft Teams Calling
      • Network Design and Management: Proficiency in designing, installing, and maintaining LAN, WAN, intranets, and extranets.
      • Telecommunications Systems: Knowledge of telephone, data, and video systems.
      • Hardware and Software: Familiarity with network hardware and software upgrades.
      • System Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor, test, and report on system performance.
      • Disaster Recovery: Skills in creating and implementing disaster recovery plans.
      • Policy Development: Capability to develop and implement policies and procedures for the telecommunications department.
      • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve telecommunications problems effectively.
      • Compliance: Knowledge of laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to telecommunications.
      • Documentation: Ensuring thorough documentation of network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.


      Experience & Education:

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is required
      • 5+ years of experience
