Architecture Student Needed – Floor Plan Drawing for Renovat

- Drafting a floor plan layout using preferred tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
- Basic space planning for two proposed bedrooms on the third floor
- Incorporating necessary dimensions for City of Madison submission (guidance provided)
- Revisions based on feedback
- Enrolled in or completed coursework in architecture, drafting, interior design, or related fields
- Experience with basic floor plan software
- Familiarity with residential space planning
- (Bonus) Any exposure to permitting or city submission requirements
Department Overview:
We are a small property development team working on residential and small multi-family renovations in the Madison area. We support students gaining hands-on experience in design, permitting, and development processes.
Anticipated Start Date
8/1/25 Anticipated End Date
9/30/25 Anticipated Hours Per Week
10 Schedule:
Flexible. Remote work. The goal is to complete a drawing suitable for city submission by early September. Weekly check-ins optional.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $25.00 Number Of Positions
1 Position Summary/Job Duties:
We are seeking a student currently studying architecture or design to assist with creating a floor plan layout for a small attic renovation in a two-unit residence. This project is for educational and portfolio-building purposes, and you will have the opportunity to work with a real-world renovation scenario.
The scope includes:
You’ll gain experience producing drawings for real permit-related use, and we’re happy to credit your work in future development proposals (if desired).
